Empowering Hope Together

About us

CALCONGO (Computer-Assisted Learning Congo) is an innovative educational program based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dedicated to reducing educational disparities across underserved regions—such as Kikwit—CALCONGO empowers communities by providing accessible, practical learning opportunities.

With a focus on vocational training, CALCONGO offers hands-on programs including sewing and motorcycle repair, equipping participants with valuable skills to improve their livelihoods and contribute to local economic growth. Through the integration of technology and community-driven instruction, CALCONGO is working to close the education gap and build a more equitable future for learners in the DRC.

Mission Statement

At CALCONGO, we envision a Democratic Republic of the Congo where education is a right—not a privilege—for all, including those too often left behind: former child soldiers, women and girls who have survived sexual violence, and marginalized youth across rural and underserved regions.

Our mission is to create safe, inclusive learning environments where every individual—regardless of their past or circumstance—can gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to rebuild their lives and shape a stronger future. Through a combination of technology, vocational training, and community empowerment, CALCONGO strives to break cycles of trauma and poverty, and to build a nation grounded in dignity, resilience, and hope.
